Disciple-Sending
Sending disciples is a primary task of the church according to Jesus’ Great Commission. As a church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, we eagerly give to the Cooperative Program. The Cooperative Program is a unique funding mechanism that connects the local church to the largest missionary network in the world. Two mission boards exist to serve the church in this capacity. The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is the mission agency responsible for aiding the local church in planting churches in North America amongst other important ministries. The second mission agency that benefits from the Cooperative Program is the International Mission Board (IMB). The IMB places those who are called by God to serve in areas outside of North America. How is God calling you to serve and how will you respond?
Bright Life Farms
The 24 residents who call Bright Life home have varying levels of mental and physical abilities who cannot live by themselves. Cash Creek is working with Bright Life in order to reach a segment of our population that is underserved and underprivileged. Bright Life is a little more than an hour away in Princeton, KY. The residents from Bright Life have come to visit us at Cash Creek, and Cash Creek has visited with Bright Life in Princeton. Pray that God will reveal to us His vision for this important ministry.
Cleveland Hope – Western Kentucky Partnership
Be praying for our church as we consider a potential partnership with a church planter in Cleveland, Ohio. This would be a huge opportunity for Cash Creek to watch God build a church from the ground up. This partnership will bring new opportunities to partner with Audubon Baptist Church in sending teams to help plant a church in a city with little to no Gospel witness. Be in prayer about how God might use you in this important work. The new church, Gateway Heights, launched October 23, 2011 and meet at the Big Dog Theater in the Coventry area of Cleveland Heights.
Zach Weihrauch and his wife and two children moved to Cleveland, Ohio very recently for the purpose of planting a church in Cleveland Heights. Pray for Zach. Check out his website and blog: http://www.plantingintheheights.com/planting_in_the_heights/Welcome.html Check it often as he posts prayer requests and updates. Let’s join this important work going on so that we might see our nation reached for Christ and our church obedient to our Lord’s commission.
